Solar Flare, a millepora that looks like it’s been charged by the sun. This seriously bright Acropora millepora combines an intense yellow-green to lime body with warmer orange and golden tones burning through the corallites and branch tips. As it matures, cooler pale blue can develop through the growing tips, adding another layer of contrast to an already ridiculous colour palette.

The classic millepora structure makes the whole thing even brighter. Heavy polyp extension gives the branches that wonderfully fuzzy appearance, with the fluorescent greens and yellows almost glowing under reef lighting while the warmer orange tones punch straight through.

Solar Flare loves plenty of light, and when it’s happy the colour can become properly intense. Give it strong conditions, good flow and room to develop and this has all the ingredients to become a real centrepiece colony.
