Snow Dragon is our take on the world-famous WWC Snow Dragon — an Australian Acropora microclados-style piece with a seriously unusual mix of cool pastels and warmer highlights.
There’s no direct lineage to the WWC coral, so we wouldn’t present it as the original clone, but visually it sits very much in the same lane. WWC describe their Snow Dragon as a cool-toned Acropora with frosty blue, white and mint-teal colour through an open branching structure.
Our colony develops a lime-to-mint green body, shifting into pale blue and icy turquoise through the newer growth, with soft peach-to-pink tips and darker contrasting corallites adding extra depth through the branches.
As it matures, the growth becomes increasingly sculptural, with a compact, angular branching form that gives the colony that classic high-end shortcake-style appearance.
Rare-looking, pastel and seriously distinctive — Snow Dragon is one of those Acropora that becomes more impressive the more colour and structure it develops.
