Red Caddy, the darker, moodier sibling of the famous Pink Cadillac look — with plenty of colour hiding in the detail. This Acropora carries deep burgundy-to-wine-red flesh across the colony, with warmer crimson tones appearing through the growing branches. Against that dark base sit incredibly sharp yellow-to-lime corallites, with hints of pale blue around some of the newer growth and rich red polyps adding even more depth.

The contrast is what really sells this one. From a distance it reads as a deep red colony, but get closer and those bright yellow corallites pepper the branches with colour, almost like little lights against the darker flesh.

Its growth form changes beautifully with age. It initially builds into a dense, upright cluster before beginning to spread outward and develop into a broader tabling structure, becoming considerably more impressive once given room to mature.

Give it good light, plenty of flow and space to grow, and Red Caddy develops into a substantial, high-contrast colony with a very different character from the brighter pink versions.

Deep red, burgundy and flashes of yellow — Red Caddy takes the Cadillac look, turns the lights down and gives it a whole lot more attitude.
