Helios, Named after the Greek god of the sun, this one already looks like it has been dipped in warm light. Helios is a smooth-skinned Acropora granulosa showing soft cream-to-green flesh, warm golden tones through the branches and developing orange around the corallites and growth areas.

Like the best granulosa, the structure is clean and elegant, with smooth branches and plenty of open surface for the colour to develop across as the colony matures. Right now it has a softer, more understated look, but there are already clear signs that the warmer tones are beginning to build.

This is one of those pieces you buy for the potential as much as the present. As it settles and grows, expect the creams, golds and oranges to become more pronounced, giving it a much richer and more sunlit appearance.
