Branching Green Hydnophora, about as unapologetically green as a coral can get. This easy-to-keep branching Hydnophora develops intensely fluorescent lime-to-neon green flesh across the entire colony, with brighter yellow-green highlights catching the raised ridges and growing tips.
Its growth form is chunky and irregular, producing thick branches covered in the characteristic textured Hydnophora surface. Unlike many rigid-looking SPS, the fleshy tissue inflates slightly away from the skeleton and responds visibly to the current, giving the colony a surprising amount of movement.
It’s also remarkably hardy and straightforward to grow, making it a great choice for anyone wanting a bright branching coral without jumping straight into more demanding Acropora. Once established, it can become a fast-growing, seriously vivid feature in the reef.
Just give it some room. Hydnophora can be aggressive towards neighbouring corals and is perfectly capable of making its feelings known if something grows too close.
Fluorescent lime, radioactive green and chunky branching growth — Branching Green Hydnophora doesn't do subtle, and that's exactly why we like it.
